I got involved with GAP through the Arise and Shine project for female migrants. Having worked with female asylum seekers for the British Red Cross, I was happy to contribute to strengthening links within the community of women migrants in the North West. My interest in gender equality stems from time spent working with rural women in Mexico. I am now studying for a masters in Violence, Conflict and Development at SOAS in London.
