Michela Baldo graduated at the University of Padova (Italy) in Classics and Italian in 2000 and has a Masters degree and PhD in Translation studies from the University of Manchester. Her PhD focused on migrant literature (Italian-Canadian writing) and her research interests extend to language contact, narrative, queer studies and film studies. During her studies she taught Italian language and culture at the University of Manchester, where she is currently employed as research assistant on a project on bilingualism. She work occasionally as a freelance translator.
