The GAP Unit offers training to groups and organisations in any sector. Training ranges from one-off workshops to multiple sessions and all programmes are tailored to the needs and interests of the group. Please contact us for further information.
Gender, diversity and inequality
To increase understanding of gender inequality, its causes and how it may impact on an organisation’s specific area of work or interest.
Capacity building
To build people’s capacity to identify, measure and analyse the gender component of their work and learn how to address associated issues and inequalities.
Research methods
Training in: participatory and gender-sensitive research methodologies; data collection, analysis and presentation; running effective stakeholder consultations; gender impact assessments.
Empowerment sessions
Helping women, in particular, to gain confidence and skills. Can be directed at supporting groups to take action on gender inequalities, or focus more on personal or organisational development. (see also Community development)
